Later on 17^th, 18^th, and much of the 19^th of March a Full Moon in Virgo will emphasize two very different ways of being. We already discussed Pisces. Under this we can appreciate two different ways of looking at things. Under Gemini; nonjudgmental perception, the facts, science, and new stimulation thrive. Under Sagittarius; faith, religion, philosophy, viewpoints, hunting and searching, and forming conclusions flourish. Both signs travel and learn and sport (Gemini is the arms and Sag the legs). At this time we can practice appreciating faith and facts, science and religion, news and opinion, and study and exercise. Both of these lunations are eclipses. Doing something outside the box is appropriate. Taking risks should be avoided. New Moon in Taurus The Sun and Moon will be together in Taurus on the 2^nd, 3^rd, and morning of the 4th of May. This shows male and female operating together in the flower garden of spring. Creative energy is high and tending to produce beauty. This is a wonderful time to make a solemn vow to slow down and enjoy life. Things started during this time will tend to be strong and enduring. This is like an extra birthday for anyone with the Sun in Taurus. Full Moon in Scorpio The Moon will be full in Scorpio on the afternoon of the 15^th, 16^th, and morning of the 17thof May. Taurus and Scorpio are two of the strongest signs in the zodiac and tend to produce things that last. Contented, practical Taurus on one side of this pair of opposites, wants comfort, pleasure, beauty, security, and routine. On the other side of the sky, motivated, passionate, profound Scorpio renovates, renews, and transforms. Scorpio might redo the kitchen or their own soul. During this Full Moon light from the Taurus Sun reflects off the Scorpio Moon and them comes to us. We can increase our appreciation for Taurus and Scorpio ways of being. And Scorpios have an opportunity to become more content. Aries and Libra The first New Moon of the astrological year, which starts with the 1^st day of spring, will take place on April 2^nd, 3^rd, & 4th. With the Sun and Moon in Aries, this is like a celebration of spring and Aries qualities, like freshness, youth, enthusiasm, zest for life, and delight in being and delight in activity. Aries says, â€œWeâ€™re alive, lets do something excitingâ€. These New Moon dates are a fine time to take actions that will bring excitement and adventure into our lives. We want to value Aries qualities and find time to do them. Since Aries is identity and agenda oriented, it is great for the Aries to spend time thinking about his identity and agenda to see if they are all that they can be. The Full Moon in Libra will take place on April 16^th & 17^th. Aries is the â€œmeâ€ sign and Libra is the â€œthouâ€ sign. Libra is focused on others, their agendas, and relationships with them. With Aries and Libra, issues of identity and respect come up. These opposite, complimenting signs both require, for success and happiness, self-respect and respect for others. That sounds so simple but gets complicated out in the world of varied people. Aries needs to be happy with who he is and execute his agenda. He needs to be more conscious of others. Libra needs to know what a good relationship is and find a good partner. Libra needs to be more aware of his own identity and agenda. During this Full Moon, light is coming from the Aries Sun to the Libra Moon and then to us here on earth. We can strengthen both Aries and Libra qualities in ourselves. And Libra can become more Aries like. Pisces and Virgo The New Moon in the sign, Pisces is an opportunity to experience the supernatural. At this time we can connect with the subtle within ourselves which is intimately connected to the subtle outside of ourselves. Within this timeless and limitless space we have no limits of perception and activity. We can connect with anything that ever existed or will exist in any place. Even traditional Christianity, in its newest Catechism, defines the invisible as more important that the visible. If this is a new area for you, try meditating and listening or praying and then listening. And there are many books on the invisible world. The Church of Light books by C.C. Zain give a complete western view and â€œTibetan Yoga and the Secret Doctrineâ€ gives a fascinating eastern view. My paper on Egyptian Magic is in parts on my web site and gives the Egyptian view. During this New Moon later on March 3^rd, 4^th, and 5th we can honor our delicate, idealistic, emotional, intuitive side. We can read about, meditate on, and contemplate these things. For those with the Sun in Pisces, these days are like an extra birthday. Later on 17^th, 18^th, and much of the 19^th of March a Full Moon in Virgo will emphasize two very different ways of being. We already discussed Pisces. Virgo, the opposite sign, works and serves, is practical, pragmatic, and productive. At this time we can appreciate both perspectives. Since the Virgo Moon is receiving the light from the Pisces Sun, this is an opportunity for solid, responsible Virgo to become more open to subtle things. Under both the new and full moon this month, we should review our vision and mission statements. Aquarius and Leo The New Moon in Aquarius will take place later on the 1^st, 2nd and 3^rd of February. This sign is associated with humanity, knowledge, and a global perspective. This is a great time to ponder and meditate on these things. This is the time for insight and action that promotes people and education. The presence of both the Sun and Moon in Aquarius helps us to see the big picture and be effective in our action. The long-term presence of Neptune in Aquarius adds insight and imagination to this already abstract sign. So, letâ€™s learn something, extend our social circle, activate the subtle mind, and look beyond our borders. A Full Moon in Leo will take place on the 16^th, 17^th, and very early 18th of February. The light from the Aquarian Sun will reflect off of the Leo Moon and shine on us. We will receive a mixture of Aquarian and Leo qualities. Leo is creative and playful like a child, it rules like a king, and it loves like a young lover. Play, power, young love, and creativity will be in the air, ready to be breathed in. From the Aquarian Sun weâ€™ll pick up a respect for people and ideas, and many and varied ways of being and doing. The creative, loving, and ruling Leo in us can become more informed and democratic. P.S. Both Aquarius and Leo are important in the chart of President Obama. Capricorn and Cancer The Capricorn New Moon Solar Eclipse takes place on Jan 3rd, 4th, and the morning of the 5th. This is a fine time to think about, intuit, and meditate on Capricorn issues. Capricorn things can be contemplated on these three Moon in Capricorn days and then acted on for the rest of the time that the Sun is in Capricorn. Some new habits should be formed by the time the Sun goes into Aquarius on Jan. 19th. Although this plan can work for many resolutions, here are some Capricorn type things that fit in with the natural current: planning for the future and setting goals, organizing, getting better use out of what you already have, looking for opportunities, becoming aware of the highest expression of anything, getting on better terms with those above you, improving your public image, improving business, and developing an appreciation for anything practical. Under this eclipse we should expand horizones but be a bit cautious. Full Moon in Cancer happens on the afternoon of the 17th, the 18th and much of the 19th of January. The Capricorn Sun is shining on the Cancer Moon and gives all of us and especially those with something important in Cancer, the opportunity to pick up some Capricorn qualities. Cancer tends to be relaxed, genuine, nurturing, and intuitive. Thatâ€™s great, but now complimentary qualities can be added. If these energies are focused on, Cancer can become more ambitious, practical, formal, and effective. If you are looking to move onward and upward, look for hints of how to do this during these Full Moon days and the entire time the Sun is in Capricorn.
