An astrologer's little corner of the noosphere
The information in this column is limited. It does not replace your seeing your astrologer. If you know the sign of your Moon and your Ascending sign, read those sections also. This information is helpful because it mentions planets passing through your sign. These do bring opportunities.
Special note: The emphasis this month is on the signs Leo, Pisces and Aries. Whatever we have in our own charts, we also become these qualities temporarily. Active Mars is still in the showy, powerful, playful sign, Leo. We'll have lots of energy to put into our creative areas. Since Mars is naturally troublesome we need to harmonize the way we use power, and deal with affairs of the heart while Mars is in Leo, which will be until the 2nd week of June '10. We can look at this 2 ways. A troublesome concern can last longer than usual or a constructive project can last longer than ordinary. Mars turns retrograde on the 20th of Dec. and does not go direct until March 10th. We'll have to be particularly skillfull in our actions to counteract this. The Sun in weeks 1, 2, and 3; Mercury in weeks 1 and 2; and Venus in week 1 are in mystical, insightful, believing Pisces. We should all be reading Dr. Jeffrey Long's book “ Evidence for the Afterlife” so that our faith level will go up and we'll have one less thing to worry about. This is a time for us to honor the more subtle and unexplainable parts of our selves. The Egyptians felt that each one of us was composed of 9 parts: the body (khat), sahu, ab, ka, ba, khaibit, khu, sekhem, and name. ( See my paper on Egyptian Magic on my website.) During this Pisces period our success, intellectual lives, and love lives will be affected by supernatural things. Jupiter is in Pisces for this year and does increase faith and belief. Uranus is in Pisces from '03 until '11 and shows us making discoveries about metaphysical things. The Sun in week 4; Mercury in weeks 3 and 4; and Venus in weeks 2, 3, and 4 are in Aries. After our mystical and emotion experiences of the Pisces period, we are ready for action and adventure. We know who we are, have an agenda, and we are doing it. Aries is the “me” sign and this is an appropriate time for us to get our act together. Saturn and Pluto are still in a strong square. Due to being in Libra and Capricorn, they increase legal and business and government activity, but the planets are not considered constructive. Wherever we are finding a difficulty in our lives, we should clarify the situation and take positive action. Full Moon in Virgo continues on the 1st. This is a good time to focus on vision and mission. New Moon in Pisces is on afternoon of the 13, the 14, and 15th. This is a great time for new starts in emotional and metaphysical areas. For example, a new meditation program, or starting to keep a journal of dreams. Discoveries will follow. Full Moon is in Libra will be on the 29th and 30th and ties into the Saturn Pluto square. It is essential to balance our needs and those of others and address problems with positive action. Important events should be started on another day.

Aries:
March 21 to April 20.
Planets passing through Aries bring you ideas, love, and important people.
In week 4 your month long Sun cycle starts. Find and implement methods
to enhance success and happiness until this cycle begins again next
year. Mars is trining you until June. This is great and should energize
you. Saturn is opposing you and Pluto is squaring you. Better your life
by building vitality, recreating, and asserting against those who are
too forceful. You are called upon to balance personal needs, needs of
partner, and career needs. Moon in your sign on the 16th, 17th, and
morning of the 18th brings people and events.
Taurus:
April 21 to May 21.
(Biden’s Moon) Planets in Leo and Aquarius are squaring you. These are
tense aspects and your methods need to be positive to get some good
out of this. Picture yourself on good terms with all things and people;
this will allow these planets to bring you some contacts and opportunities.
The planet in Leo is Mars and will be there until June, so, direct your
energy in positive ways and rise above conflict. Sensible exercise is
important. If you have the right attitude, you could attract contacts,
energy, and progress. Planets in Pisces sextile you and Pluto trines
you. This helps bring what you want. Moon in your sign on the afternoon
of the 18th, the 19th, and 20th brings people and events.
Gemini:
May 22 to June 21.
(Obama’s Moon) Neptune in Aquarius and Saturn in Libra are trining you,
so a lucky grand trine is affecting your Sun and your success and bringing
people and ideas. Uranus, Jupiter, and faster bodies moving through
Pisces are squaring you. Be ready for the unexpected, it could open
new vistas for you. Try to appreciate reason and belief. Moon in your
sign on the 21st and 22nd brings people and events.
Cancer:
June 22 to July 23.
(Bush’s Sun and the Sun of the U.S.) Saturn is squaring you. Work can
increase and burden you. So, don't overwork, recreate, and build vitality.
A long term opposition from Pluto requires good use of power. Build
self esteem before dealing with anything threatening. Planets in Aries
are squaring you, they add to the above, and require that you give due
attention to home matters, relationships, carrer, and that which excites
you. Planets in Pisces are trining you and bringing harmony, contacts,
and success. First Quarter Moon in your sign on the 23rd and 24th brings
people and events.
Leo:
July 24 to Aug 23.
(Obama’s Sun) Mars is still in your sign and will stay there until the
2nd week of June 2010. This is a big deal. Exercise your muscles and
develop an active, can do attitude. Manage stress and conflict to free
up energy for activities. Neptune in Aquarius is opposing you. Do your
best to get along, these folks can move you forward. Planets passing
through Aries energize and promote your activities. Moon in your sign
on the 25th and 26th brings people and events.
Virgo:
Aug 24 to Sep 23.
(McCain’s Sun) Uranus is still opposing you and bringing the unexpected.
Be ready. Jupiter is opposing you for a year, stay on good terms with
law and rules. You may have to work to improve them. Planets passing
through Pisces add to this now. Try to be on good terms with what is
coming to you so that you will stimulate opportunities. Full Moon in
your sign on the 1st and Moon in your sign on the 27th and 28th bring
people and events.
Libra:
Sep 24 to Oct 23.
(McCain’s rising Sign) Saturn entered your sign on the 29th of Oct '09
and stays until Oct '12. This is a great opportunity to succeed at long
term goals and to develop more discipline. But start now and continue
to build life force and make time to enjoy life. Also, strengthen and
harmonize relationships. Neptune in Aquarius continues to form a trine
with your Sun. This benefits you, so be active and engaged with people
and ideas. Continue to do your Tai Chi or Yoga. This will get you on
good terms with Pluto, which is squaring you and shows you dealing with
imponderable forces. This helps you meet any kind of force with positive
force. Planets in Aries are opposing you and could bring contacts if
you can stay on good terms with these challenging people. Moon in your
sign on the 2nd and 3rd and Full Moon in your sign on the 29th and 30th
bring people and events and culminations in relationships.
Scorpio:
Oct 24 to Nov 22.
(Hillary’s Sun and Romney’s Moon and Biden’s Sun) Mars squares you until
June '10 which requires stress and conflict management to free up energy
for energetic activities of your choice. Neptune in Aquarius squares
you and those passing through Pisces trine you. Call on your subtle
insights to deal with conflicts. Moon in your sign on the 4th, the 5th,
31st brings people and events.
Sagittarius:
Nov 23 to Dec 21.
(Biden’s Rising Sign) Planets in Pisces square you and those in Aries
trine. A subtle sense of conflict is eventually replaced by success.
Mars is trining you until June. Energy is flowing into you for adventures,
mental and physical. Uranus and Jupiter in Pisces are squaring you for
the year. Calming your interiors and keeping rules can minimize the
unexpected in your exterior life and keep you on good terms with good
people. Last Quarter Moon in your sign on the 6th and 7th and morning
of the 8th brings people and events.
Capricorn:
Dec 22 to Jan 20.
(McCain’s Moon and Michelle Obama’s Sun, Tiger Wood's Sun) Planets in
Pisces sextile you and bring subtle insights. Pluto is in your sign
for years and brings intense and forceful things, people, and events.
You can meet the force with positive action and become dynamic. Groups
bring opportunities. Saturn in Libra is squaring you until Oc t'12.
Hard work and delays are on tap. Try not to overwork and build vitality
and recreate your spirit regularly. Planets in Aries add to Saturn's
and Pluto's effects, so, try to balance needs of career, relationships,
and personal needs. Moon in your sign on the afternoon of the 8th, the
9th, and the 10th brings people and events.
Aquarius:
Jan 21 to Feb 19.
(Palin’s Sun, Obama’s Rising Sign) All planets have left your sign except
Neptune. Neptune's presence increases spirituality. These planets leaving
could show a lessening of activity. Mars is opposing Neptune and you.
Mars represents challenges, conflict, and stress, so, be effective in
these areas to avoid trouble. Mars will oppose you until the 2nd week
of June '10. Saturn is trining you for the next couple of years; this
is good for becoming more organized. Moon in your sign on the 11th,12th
and morning of the 13th brings people and events.
Pisces:
Feb 20 to March 20.
(Romney’s Sun and Hillary’s Moon). The Sun in weeks 1, 2, and 3; Venus
in week 1; and Mercury in weeks 1 and 2 are in your sign and bringing
important, pleasant, and interesting people to you. The Sun marks your
month long Sun cycle and is the time to build success and happiness.
Jupiter entered your sign on the 17th of January and stays for a year.
Expect something good to come to you this year. Note how you can expand
yourself and look for opportunity. Saturn stopped opposing us recently,
this was a period of trouble. Now Jupiter comes along and heals and
restores. Uranus is still in your sign bringing the unexpected and opening
new vistas. Seek out reliable people. New Moon Moon in your sign on
the afternoon of the 13th, 14th, and 15th brings unusual, interesting,
powerful, and benevolent people and events.
