| From the desk of Leslie Marlar... March 01 '10 For those of you who are local, S.T.A.R. Guild Astrology study group meets on the 2nd Thursday of March on the 11th at 6pm at the main library in Cocoa. We will continue to look at the effects that the current position of the planets are having on us. Bring your charts. In April will we start meeting on the 1st Tuesday of the month at the same location. The 1st Tuesday comes up really early in the month so let's watch our calendars. April's meeting is on the 6th. I'm preparing for my Gems and Astrology class on March 20th at Aquarian Dreams. We'll be connecting gems with signs and planets to see what gems enhance us most. I'll be presenting the Church of Light relationship between gems and signs/planets. One way that I've been preparing is by meditating on the gem while wearing it and when the Moon is in that sign. What interesting results I'm getting. For example, when I was meditating while wearing blue sapphire, I say a sapphire blue tent in the woods. One could go into it and talk to a guide. I'll be revisiting that image. I've been more interested in the 6 point star lately, since I realized that it is used by the Golden Dawn, the Theosophical Society, the Church of Light, and used in India. Of course it is the Star of David and also the Seal of Solomon. I have read that it repressnts the Macrocosm and that it is about the basic phenomena of existence, moving away from God and back to him, entering into matter and then going back to spirit. Others have told me that it represents “As above, so below”, and also the male and female joined. Could we say that it is the Macrososm breathing? Could it represent heaven and earth? How about the interlacing of any two opposites? Is it an answer to the ultimate questions? One might see interlaced grand trines in a person's horoscope. This could only happen between fire and air or between earth and water. This might be worth meditating on. We're continuing to address with posistive action any trouble being caused in our lives by the square of Saturn in early Libra to Pluto in early Capricorn. I hope we are continuing to use Mars in Leo energy to create instead of just being stressed. As a Pisces I'm continuing to enjoy Jupiter in my sign. Other than the mouse in the house (which is Mars), good is still coming in and some is very subtle. I was told in a dream that it was Candlemas a few days after the fact. This struck me because I wouldn't ordinarily take note of it. I think I will in the future. Full Moon in Virgo on the 1st focuses on vision and mission. A New Moon in Pisces on the afternoon of the 13th, the 14th, and 15 is a great time for new starts in emotional or spiritual matters. Full Moon in Libra on the 29th and 30th brings relationship isues to culmination. Dont forget to read Dr. Jeff Long's book, Evidence for the Afterlife. With Jupiter in Pisces, this is the year for believing in marvelous things. Leslie Marlar |
