| I’ve known Alicia since grade school. We’ve lost touch and I don’t know if she is still alive. With only four days separating our birthdays, she’s first, then me, our charts are close enough to highlight differences. Her life and events and the fact that she gave me her birth data and shared an important event with me have given me the great gift of data. We are both Pisces. Alicia has a very full Virgo Moon and I have a Scorpio Moon applying to a trine with my Sun. The first is powerful but stressed, the second is integrated and lucky. In late ’97 with Pluto in early Sagittarius, we both had breast events. With Pluto squaring Alicia’s Sun and Moon, she had a mastectomy due to breast cancer on Sept. 5th. With Pluto squaring only my Sun, in the last week of Oct, I think the 26th, I had a biopsy of a breast mass. She was treated with difficulties but success and then later her cancer came back. My mass was benign and of no further concern. After noting this I checked our charts with other life events in mind and was impressed with how the differences in our charts showed the differences in our lives. Alicia’s Sun and Moon cut across the 8th and 2nd houses. My Sun is in the 11th and my Moon in the 7th. The 8th is the house of death and the 11th and 7th houses of people. She faced the possibility of death before 50. I have a fire grand trine involving 4 planets. Alicia has fire planets too but two separate trine structures, Jupiter trine Mars and Pluto and Saturn trine Venus. The 1st is a bit luckier and easier and more integrated. Alicia always worked and lost her parents early. She’s had three husbands. I only started work in recent years. My mother is alive and lively at 86, and my father lived to be 93. I had a 30 year marriage. Also my first house ruler is favored Venus. Alicia’s 8th house Sun rules her Leo Ascendant and she has Pluto, Mars, and Saturn in the first house. This grouping can bring opportunity and talent and energy but is not easy. Trouble is always in your face. Three more things warrant mention. Alicia’s Venus is closer to an opposition with Neptune than Leslie’s. I am curious about this but I don’t have any information or suspicions about addictions. Alicia’s Venus is close to her Midheavan and she successfully worked for and was promoted in an aerospace/defense company for many years. In other words, she had a career. Finally, Leslie’s Mercury is closer to a trine with Uranus and she is an Astrologer. In Alicia’s life this probably expressed as her exposure to technology in the aerospace company. In conclusion, it is usual for me to give wide orbs to aspects and unusual for me to “split hairs” and associate differences in people’s lives with small differences in their charts. But in this case with the charts so close, the small differences stand out and seem to have big meanings. Maybe the closeness of an aspects really does make a difference. I was blessed to be friends with Alicia in my youth and I’m blessed now by understanding her events and my events. I have the greatest respect for all the work she did, all the energy she expended, and all the difficulties that she faced. |
